NWiki the future of wikis in Moodle

What we call N-Wiki is an alternative wiki module for Moodle 1.6 and later versions. The 1.9 version of Moodle (comming up somewhere in 2007) will be powered by this wiki and the current standard wiki will be dumped out.

Migration issues

When installed N-Wiki replaces the standard wiki module and imports all of the wiki contents without data loss.

DFWiki, the older brother

NWiki is based on an alternative module called DFWiki that improves the standard Moodle Wiki on Moodle 1.5.x installations.

N Wiki and DFWiki come with 3 possible Markup Languages: DFWiki native, eWiki and Moodle HTML Editor. We will not talk about ewiki markup because we don't use it but for backward compatibility issues. NWikiMarkup
